DAO: Proof-of-Impact Governance

The Sproutly DAO introduces a mission-aligned governance system where real-world climate impact determines voting power, and $SEED staking tiers unlock extended privileges. This dual model rewards both active environmental contribution and long-term token commitment.

Governance Through Impact

DAO voting power is earned by burning $aCO₂ tokens, which represent verifiable CO₂ absorption.

  • 1 ton of CO₂ burned = 1 vote

  • Voting rights reset annually and start january 1st 2026, encouraging continued participation

  • Votes are non-transferable and earned purely through impact

This structure ensures that influence is granted to those who actively contribute to Sproutly’s regenerative mission.

Proposal Flow & Impact Council

To maintain alignment with Sproutly’s values, proposals must first pass a Proposal Council, composed of:

  • Top $aCO₂ burners

  • Ecosystem experts and/or partner projects.

  • Elected community delegates

The council reviews proposals to ensure they:

  • Benefit Sproutly, its community, and the planet

  • Avoid personal financial gain

  • They are technically and ethically viable

Once approved, proposals are sent to a transparent on-chain vote.

Role of $SEED: Influence Beyond Voting

While only $aCO₂ burners gain direct voting rights, users who hold $SEED and stake into tier levels gain additional DAO privileges:

Tier

DAO Privileges

Growth Steward

Right to co-sponsor proposals (requires a $aCO₂ voter to submit it)

Sprout Guardian

Co-sponsorship rights + access to non-binding roadmap polls

Carbon Council

All above + the ability to submit informal improvement suggestions directly to DAO

This layered approach ensures both impact-driven voting and value-based influence, combining ESG contribution with stakeholder alignment.

Community Access & Transparency

DAO members also gain:

  • Exclusive access to Discord governance channels

  • Real-time participation in proposal discussions

  • Publicly visible on-chain records of votes and proposals

  • Access to the DAO treasury. The treasury funds can be used based on DAO proposals but for climate positive purposes only.

Sproutly commits to implementing all approved proposals, as long as they remain within legal and operational constraints.

Governance With Purpose

The DAO shapes Sproutly’s direction, from NFT functionality and marketplace design to new token utilities and integrations. By tying voting power to climate impact and broader influence to $SEED stake levels, Sproutly empowers its most aligned contributors to help shape a transparent, regenerative future.

Governance Structure Overview

Sproutly’s governance system is built around transparency, alignment, and verified climate impact. Influence is earned, not bought.

This layered governance model ensures:

  • Environmental contribution drives DAO influence

  • Financial commitment unlocks strategic privileges

  • Cooperative offers off-chain power and transparency
